Susan Rice the adviser to President Obama, wrote an interesting email to herself on inauguration day 2017.
She emailed herself about a meeting that had occurred on January 5th in the Oval office.
In the email, Rice says in the email that President Obama was being briefed by the intelligence community about Russian hacking that had occurred during the 2016 election.
In the email, she quotes to herself what the President had said. “President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and Law enforcement communities ‘by the book’. The President stressed that he is not asking about initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book.”
Basically, Rice had emailed herself a note reassuring herself and Obama administration that the Russian hacking investigation would be done by the book.
This seems very odd. The Russian hacking investigation has not been carried out by the book at all in regards to the Donald Trump side of things.
The meeting was on January 5th and the email Rice sent herself was sent on the 20th.
Was the meeting and the email just Obama getting himself on the record saying the investigation was going to be done fairly, so he could feel that he was in the clear?
But did Obama know anything about the FISA application at this time?
Did Rice know about the dossier from Steele who was on the payroll of the Democratic party was included in the warrant application?
Did Obama or Rice know that the application was politically motivated and that Steele hated Donald Trump?
