A top official for Customs and Border Protection has called out fake reports about border agents not supporting Trump’s border wall.
Ronald Vitiello, the acting Deputy Commissioner has told reporters that effective barriers have been requested from the field. “Walls work” and “agents know it,” Vitiello said.
Funding given to border security measures from the omnibus bill came in a total $1.6 billion. The funds will help build 100 mile of wall and Vitiello told reporters that the CBP is very appreciative of that.
President Trump spoke about construction starting on the wall while in Ohio.
