The Justice Department has missed the deadline to turn over 1.2 million documents to the House Judiciary Committee. The department has not complied with the March 22 subpoena issued Rep. Rob Goodlatte, R-Va.
The documents are related to charging decisions in the Hillary Clinton email investigation, possible FISA abuse and the FBI Office of Professional Responsibility’s recommendation to fire the former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.
This is not the first time the department has delayed. Goodlatte wrote in his March 22 letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, “Given the Department’s ongoing delays in producing these documents, I am left with no choice but to issue the enclosed subpoena to compel production of these documents.”Tags: Clinton email scandal Clintons FBI FISA Hillary Clinton justice department politics Rob Goodlatte Rod Rosenstein
